There are so many opportunities on offer to students, from trips to exciting destinations, to clubs and activities after the school day ends.
Simply being a student at Cathedral Academy gives young people access to these opportunities. Here we provide a flavour of just some of the opportunities available to our students:
- Student Council is run by students, for students. The Student Council meets regularly to discuss the student experience at Cathedral Academy and how it can be improved. Members represent the academy and therefore are elected to the council. Badges are displayed on uniforms so that other students can easily identify their representatives and speak to them. Students in Year 11 are also given the chance to apply to become Student Leaders. As well as making a difference to others, being part of the Student Council can build confidence and experience of areas such as formal meetings – all things that help when you are applying for work or higher education. We also have Head Boy and Head Girl positions.
- We also have a full programme of extra-curricular activity. This is communicated to students who have a wide range of sport, plus other unusual clubs and activities to choose from.
